Mount Edna

Two second drive from our villa there is a wine outlet. So we bought some red wine which is will sort any problems at with the world for 1.30 a litre. Love a bargin

Kara and Leon having a heart to heart chat. We were laughing because I kept on chopping Leons head off in the photos. This was a proper one.

Sicily number two

Mama Rosa for dinner. We had to wait half an hour for the place to open. Huge restaurant and at 8.00pm we were the only ones there. Had a nice meal anyway. Most of the people arrives at 9.00pm when we were leaving

Erice which is a walled mountain town. The castle on top of the hill was quite beautiful. Stopped and looked at wedding taking place. Lots of dark suites and sunglasses.

View of Trapani

The cobbled streets are beautiful. Kate you would love creative photos you can take.
Loved swimming in the clear water. It was wonderful to see the kids so confident diving under the water to touch the rocks and look for fish.
Relaxing in the sea

Kids found a cat with blue eyes in a flower pot. Been so hot you have to take cover where you can.
Our French car in Italy which only speaks Spanish. We can understand enough Spanish to get us around Sicily but not enough to change to English. The view in the background is our villa.
One thing you not short of is men in speedos. The kids keep saying why do the men wear those awful costumes. Also surprising is the amount of tattoos all the people have. We had to pay to swim in this part of the sea. They filmed Ocean Twelve here.
Scopello. The Tonnara di Scopello is really pretty. Oceans Twelve was filmed here.

Sicily

Our table and chairs at the place we staying. The owner is so proud of all her painting and mosaics around the villa
Rex the dog which adopted the villa. Victoria is in love with Rex.
Rex getting hug cuddles

Beer and wine time with guide book. Where too next?

The insect machine in the background. Loads of insects and lizards. Reminds me of South Africa
Booo

Monreale. The kids wanting to buy all the trinkets. The very very narrow streets. Scooters popping out in all directions. No one follows the road rules.

The fantastic church in Monreale.

The church square. The mosaics where beautiful

Inside the church. It was wonderful. I so wished my gran was with me because she would have loved the church. We did light a candle for my gran, poppa and Betty. Kara said look how strong the candle was burning, so hopefully they were with us in spirit.

The church was very special

The view of Monreale
